On August 11, the HEVI group came together for a rewarding lunch after a morning of hard work with our dedicated volunteers and five houseless individuals. What began as a simple meal quickly turned into a bridge between different lives, where conversations flowed easily about nature, laughter, and shared passions. As we connected over our work in the soil and the meal at hand, the lines between us blurred, and everyone left with a renewed sense of purpose and fulfillment, reminded of the power of community, care for the environment, and the joy of coming together.
