Q&A 18: Experience with HEVI

Could you share a bit about your experience volunteering for HEVI?

Mike: Yes, for sure. I’ve been volunteering for HEVI for a while now, which definitely gave me drive, a good sense of belonging, and a good sense of community. It’s put funds in my pockets… Yeah, it just gave me a sense of belonging. 

D: My experience is that on Saturdays when you want to lay in, and not want to do anything necessarily, and coming out here working and relaxing is really a great way to spend the time. And then when you get back and you see that nobody’s really done anything, and they are just laying around there. 

John: These are interesting things to do, a bit of money on the side too, and it’s like a good workout session.
