About Us

HEVI is a non-profit business owned and operated by Enact Our Dreams, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the founding purpose to address both issues surrounding the increasing number of houseless communities in California and the ever more important need to emphasize environmental efforts in society. HEVI aims to provide reliable and meaningful volunteer opportunities, with stipends, to houseless individuals in San Jose, while furthering environmental efforts and contributing to the urban forest and help the houseless be better equipped to find a full-time job, provide some extra income, and make them feel respected as a person. The organization's current operations involve working with homeless individuals to plant trees and maintain the environment, providing stipend and connecting them with resources and support services to aid in finding full-time employment.
